Are you searching for a Wedding or Event photographer in Ile de Ré?
I have been covering over 170 Weddings since July 2014, I can say that I am full of advice and help for your big day.
My couples are similar and so different at the same time. I would say that they have certain similar characteristics, they prefer to spend time with their families and friends rather than spending an hour taking the couple photos, they are usually shy, they don’t feel at ease to be the center of the attention, they have a certain knowledge about art, sometimes photography and painting.
Do you want to have an intimate wedding in Ile de Ré that reflect your journey as a couple, your passions, and your spirit of adventure?
This is elopement photography for couples who want to ignore tradition and get married in a way that feels authentic to them. As a photographer, my purpose is to discreetly capture the story of your day in an honest and heartfelt way, without posing or intruding. I will record every aspect, from the raw emotions and poignant moments as they unfold, to the details you won’t want to forget.
I care deeply about creating meaningful connections with every couple who invites me to be a part of their journey. My approach is to innovate, not to conform to conventions. Your elopement experience should be as personal, genuine, and unique as you are.
Emotional Photographer documenting emotional Weddings.
Since July 2014, I document your intimate wedding, your Minimony, Sequel Wedding, Micro wedding or Adventurous Elopement, proposal, and engagement and I have seen a lot of love stories, full of joy and emotions. It has a lot of different names but only the story matters. I am moved by telling the story of your day in the most natural and genuine way possible. No need to spend one hour behind the church with me to take the couple photographs, I will always value to let you spend time with family and friends. This is your day, not mine.
Most of my couples define themselves as shy in front of the camera, I believe simply they don’t know how easy it is to spend a few simple moments with their partner in front of my camera. I will follow you from getting ready to the dance floor in the most natural way possible. To deliver a poetic and unique vision of the most important day of your life.

A bit of History about Ile de Ré.
Île de Ré (pronounced [il də ʁe]; variously spelled Rhé, Rhéa or Rhea; English: Isle of Rhé) is an island off the west coast of France near La Rochelle, on the northern side of the Pertuis d'Antioche strait. Its highest point has an elevation of 20 metres (66 feet). It is 30 kilometres (19 miles) long and five kilometres (3 miles) wide. The 2.9 km (1.8 mi) Île de Ré bridge, completed in 1988, connects it to La Rochelle on the mainland.
Administratively, the island is part of the Charente-Maritime département, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine région. The island is also a part of the Charente-Maritime's 1st constituency.
Located in the arrondissement of La Rochelle, Île de Ré includes two cantons: Saint-Martin-de-Ré eastwards and Ars-en-Ré westwards. The island is divided into 10 communes, from East to West: Rivedoux-Plage, La Flotte, Sainte-Marie-de-Ré, Saint-Martin-de-Ré, Le Bois-Plage-en-Ré, La Couarde-sur-Mer, Loix, Ars-en-Ré, Saint-Clément-des-Baleines, Les Portes-en-Ré.
During Roman times, Île de Ré was an archipelago consisting of three small islands. The space between the islands was progressively filled by a combination of human activity (salt fields gained from the sea) and silting.
In the seventh and eighth centuries the island, along with Oléron, formed the Vacetae Insulae or Vacetian Islands, according to the Cosmographia. Since Vaceti is another name for the Vascones, this reference is evidence of Basque (Gascon) settlement or control of the islands by that date. In 745, Hunald, the Duke of Aquitaine, retired to a monastery on the island. In the mid-twelfth century, a Cistercian monastery was founded on the isle, where the Abbot Isaac of Stella sojourned amid the Becket controversy.
The island became English in 1154, when Eleanor of Aquitaine became queen of England through her marriage with Henry Plantagenet. The island reverted to France in 1243, when Henry III of England returned it to Saint Louis through a treaty. In 1360, however, with the Treaty of Bretigny, Île de Ré briefly became English again, until the 1370s.
The area is a popular tourist destination. It has approximately the same number of hours of sunshine as the southern coast of France. The island has a constant light breeze, and the water temperature is generally cool. The island is surrounded with gently sloping, sandy beaches.
The island has a winter resident population of approximately 20,000 residents and a summer resident population of about 220,000. Since the local population is distributed all over the island, it seldom gets crowded. The island has a network of cycle tracks, with many residents rarely using cars for transportation. Camping grounds and hotels abound on the island, as well as supermarkets and all modern amenities. Many families stay on the island for the duration of their vacations.
As a famous holiday resort on the Atlantic coast, the island has its fair share of celebrities, past and present. Among others, Jean Monnet, the father of European Unity, singers Charles Aznavour and Claude Nougaro, actors Bernard Giraudeau and Claude Rich, actress Carole Bouquet, writer Philippe Sollers or Princess Caroline of Monaco used to or still do spend their holidays there. Lionel Jospin, who was Prime Minister of France from 1997 to 2002, retired on the island after his withdrawal from political life. Johnny Depp, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have also been spotted there.
Oysters and fresh fish are always available. There is also a tradition in which the fishermen, upon returning from the sea, sell a small quantity of their catch directly on the quays, enabling them to buy a drink. Markets are open on a daily basis in the main towns and are a popular place to shop, taste and chat. Even the vendors in the markets come to the island on their holidays. Generally, they work only in the mornings, enabling them to enjoy the remainder of the day. A large variety of items can be bought at the market, such as comics, books, African articles, ceramics, clothes, artifacts, food, local specialities, tools and souvenirs.
Ile de Ré (in Poitevin Ile de Rét) is a French island located in the Bay of Biscay, off the coast of Aunisia.
Part of the Charente archipelago, it is the fourth largest island in mainland France, behind Corsica, the island of Oléron and Belle-Île. Formerly an integral part of the province of Aunis, it is now attached to the department of Charente-Maritime and the New Aquitaine region. Since March 2015, it has formed a single canton: the canton of Île de Ré.
The historic center of the island is Saint-Martin-de-Ré, which together with the neighboring municipality of La Flotte forms the urban unit of La Flotte with a population of 5,302 inhabitants in 2013. The most populous municipality is however Sainte-Marie-de-Ré (3,112 inhabitants).
The Île de Ré is separated from the mainland by the Breton pertuis and is located north of the islands of Aix, Oléron, Madame and Nôle, and forts Boyard, Énet and Louvois located in the pertuis d 'Antioch to the south. Since May 19, 1988, it has been linked to the mainland by the Ile de Ré bridge. Touristy, the island is nicknamed “Ré la blanche” because of the characteristic color of its traditional houses.
The island of Ré, generally NW-SW oriented, stretches over a length of 24.6 km and its width varies from 1.30 km to 5.9 km. It presents a total development of coastline of almost 100 km, half of which are made up of beaches, especially the southwest coast.
Its area is approximately 85 km2, which makes it the fourth island of metropolitan France, far behind Corsica (8,680 km2), and close to the island of Oléron (174 km2) and Belle-Ile ( 85.63 km2). The island has an isthmus: the Martray. Very narrow, it is only 0.33 km wide and separates the Fier d'Ars, a bay to the north, from the Antioch sluice, to the south. The relief of the island is generally flat and the highest point is at Peu-des-Aumonts1, a locality in the commune of Bois-Plage-en-Ré, at an altitude of 20 meters.
At its eastern end, in the town of Rivedoux-Plage, at the tip of Sablanceaux, the island is connected to the mainland at La Repentie / La Pallice by the Ile de Ré Bridge, three kilometers long and inaugurated on 19 May 1988. The bell shape of the bridge in its central part was imposed by the French Navy - ie 30 m above the sea - thus allowing the passage of warships. The bend that the bridge takes over almost its entire length makes it possible to bypass a particularly deep pit present on the axial route La Pallice - Sablanceaux, according to the former deputy of the island, Alain de Lacoste-Lareymondie.
The climate of the Ile de Ré is oceanic. The Île de Ré enjoys a fairly mild climate thanks to its geographical location and the warm sea current of the Gulf Stream. The island is very sunny, with 2,300 hours per year, it comes after the south-east of France and Corsica. On the other hand, the rains are rather frequent in winter and in autumn. These characteristics are due to the fact that the relief is almost nonexistent. In summer, the heat is attenuated by the proximity of the sea. In winter, the temperature is fairly mild and snowfall infrequent. However, there were some important meteorological facts that marked Ré's history. In 1606, the island was taken by a terrible winter, chroniclers spoke of "the passage of Loix and the proud of Ars were so frozen that one passes freely on the ice". Similar events occurred in 1890 and 1891.
