A bit of History about Casa do Alentejo.

The idea of ​​creating a League that would bring together the “Alentejo colony in Lisbon” dates back to 1912. However, the first attempt was not successful and the process would only be restarted about ten years later, from the same core of notables. who founded the Grémio Alentejano on June 10, 1923.
In 1939, by virtue of the legislation then in force, the association had to abdicate the designation of “Grémio”, changing its name to Casa do Alentejo.
Our House has played, throughout its life, an important role in favor of Culture and Associativism.
Its fruitful activity in the cultural, social, welfare and recreational field at the service of Alentejo people in general and, in particular, those living in the city of Lisbon and its periphery, is recognized, maintaining a constant collaboration with the municipalities of Lisbon, Setúbal and Alentejo.
The cultural manifestations held at its magnificent headquarters were attended by public figures who, for decades, have honored it with their presence, which earned it numerous praises and decorations, of which we highlight the award with the "Grade of Officer of the Order of Charity” that the Ministry of National Education attributed to him on July 29, 1939.
In 1991 it was also recognized as a “Collective Person of Public Utility”, under the terms of Decree-Law No. 460/77, published in the Diário da República, Series II, No. 7 of January 9, 1999. The Portuguese Federation das Colectividades de Cultura e Recreio awarded him the “Diploma de Federada” on September 30, 1970.
Possibly built at the end of the 17th century, the building where Casa do Alentejo is located today underwent profound changes at the beginning of the 20th century.
From its earliest history, it is known that it belonged to an aristocratic family – the Paes de Amaral (Viscounts of Alverca) – from whom it adopted the name and title of Palácio Paes do Amaral or Palácio Alverca.
At the beginning of the 20th century (1917-1919) it was leased to a company that transformed part of the old palace into the 1st casino in the capital – the Magestic Club.
The Palace thus underwent profound adaptation works under the direction of the architect Silva Júnior, transforming it into the splendid building that reaches the present day.
Years later, the Magestic Club was called the “Monumental Club”, always seeking to attract customers to its luxurious game rooms or to the sumptuous parties that took place in the dazzling Hall of Mirrors.
In 1928 this phase of his life was already over. It was the year 1932 when it was leased to the Grémio Alentejano, later called – Casa do Alentejo – becoming the headquarters of the Associação Regionalista Alentejana.
In 1981 it was acquired from the descendants of the Paes de Amaral family and became the heritage of all Alentejo residents.

It has a lot of different names but only the story matters. I am moved by telling the story of your day in the most natural and genuine way possible. No need to spend one hour behind the church with me to take the couple's photographs, I will always value letting you spend time with family and friends. This is your day, not mine.

Most of my couples define themselves as shy in front of the camera, I believe simply they don’t know how easy it is to spend a few simple moments with their partner in front of my camera. I will follow you from getting ready to the dance floor in the most natural way possible. To deliver a poetic and unique vision of the most important day of your life.
I have a lot of experience and expertise in traveling around Europe mostly. For the last 6 years, I have covered most of my weddings abroad and overseas.
